The company designs and fabricates an extensive catalog of dedicated flat track racing equipment, including but not limited to the single-shock 4130 chrome-moly RD250-350 Banshee frame and chassis at the core of this custom flat tracker. When he's not out racing at the speedway, Jerry Cheney heads up Cheney Engineering. A billet-aluminum water pump and clutch basket round out the potent combination. Dual flat-slide carburetors, Nology ignition and dual Vesco expansion chamber exhaust pipes keep the fires burning bright. Dennis Mears of Flotek Performance transformed the factory-issue, water-cooled, 350cc Banshee two-stroke twin into a competition contender with a Hot Rods 4mm stroker crank, Delta V-Force reeds and Cool Head domes. Yamaha later forged two TZ350 engines together and created the fearsome 4-cylinder TZ750 that the AMA promptly banned from flat track competition after Kenny Roberts famously rode his to victory at the 1975 Indianapolis Mile. Produced from 1987-2012, the wildly popular Banshee packed a two-stroke, 350cc, twin-cylinder descendant of the engines that powered regular production Yamaha RD350 and TZ350 factory racer motorcycles. The seemingly disparate worlds of 4-wheel ATVs and competition motorcycles share a horsepower connection.
